I may be a bit biased on this one…because I am a Colorado native! Here’s everything that needs to be added to your Colorado bucket list from a local!
EXPERIENCE
- Hike a 14er (a mountain over 14,000 feet)
- Go skydiving over the mountains.
- Go on the candlelight tour in the Cave of the Winds!
- Go to a Rockies Game.
- Hike Hanging Lake.
- Drive through Glenwood Canyon.
- Go up to Pikes Peak via cog rail.
- Climb the Manitou Incline.
- Buy some crystals at Manitou Springs.
- Explore Glenwood Springs
- Hot tub with fresh falling snow in the mountains.
- Learn how to snowboard
- Go snowboarding/skiing at…
- Keystone
- Breckenridge
- Copper Mountain
- Vail
- Aspen
- Hike Hanging Lake.
EAT
- Drink a cocktail in a hidden speakeasy in Denver.
- Eat pizza at Beau Jo’s in Idaho Springs.
- Dine in style at the Melting Pot (my favorite restaurant)
- Go order an Aglio and Olio with extra red pepper flakes and a lemon at Cranelli’s (I worked here and this is my favorite dish)
- Go eat at Chili’s.
- Try Chick-fil-A!
STAY
- Relax at the Broadmoor Hotel and Resort.
- Take the kids to Great Wolf Lodge.
- Enjoy Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs.
- Talk to some ghosts at the Stanley Hotel.
- Sleep in a cabin in the middle of the Rocky Mountains.
- Rent an AirBnB in a ski town for a snow trip!
- Splurge on a ski-in/ski-out cabin.
