Las Vegas photo spots are everywhere—but finding the best ones without wasting hours wandering the Strip? That’s a whole different gamble. 

This city is a sensory explosion of neon lights, glitzy signs, vintage vibes, and desert backdrops – but it can be completely overwhelming if you don’t know where to point your lens.

That’s where I come in.

I’ve visited Vegas more times than I can count (my dad lives there, so I’ve got the inside scoop).

As a travel and adventure photographer, I’ve made it my mission to help fellow creators check epic adventures off their bucket list and get jaw-dropping photos while they’re at it.

Las Vegas Photography Tours

Before we get started, if you are interested in being in any of your photos, I would recommend hiring a photographer for these Las Vegas photo spots.

There are a ton of offers while you are on the strip, but you might safe some money (and your safety) by booking one in advance.

⚠️ Note: I would not recommend renting a car to go to these photo spots, unless they are off of the Strip. Book a transfer to your hotel instead and then walk or take a hop-on/hop-off bus!

Iconic Las Vegas Landmarks

1. Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

Located at the southern end of the Strip, this is the quintessential Vegas photo op. It’s free, but go early in the morning to avoid long lines and harsh light.

2. New York-New York Hotel & Casino

The best shot of New York New York is taken from the Excalibur side, where you can capture the dramatic city skyline and rollercoaster winding its way around the hotel.

It’s a free photo op with an unmistakable backdrop!

3. The Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas

Capture it from below or go up for sweeping views of the Strip. There’s a fee to go to the top, but it’s worth it for skyline shots at sunset or night.

4. The High Roller Observation Wheel

Grab a private pod (available for a fee) for 360° city views. Night rides give you sparkling light trails below.

5. The Sphinx at the Luxor

This towering replica provides a dramatic and epic backdrop, with its grand size making for an impressive shot. 

You can capture it for free just by walking around the property.

7. Pirate Ship at Treasure Island

While the legendary Sirens of TI show is no longer running, the ship remains docked and totally photo-worthy – especially at night when it’s dramatically lit. 

It’s right out front and free to visit, so you can walk right up and snap your next high-seas-inspired shot without walking the plank.

6. The Venetian Canals

Inside and outside offer two different vibes – go for indoor gondolas and romantic lighting or the charming bridge outside. No fee unless you’re riding a gondola.

Trendy & Instagram-Worthy Spots

9. Seven Magic Mountains

A colorful art installation about 30 minutes south of the Strip. It’s free, open to the public, and best photographed during sunrise or sunset for soft desert light.

10. The Neon Museum (aka Neon Boneyard)

A graveyard of vintage Vegas signs with unbeatable textures and color. Entry requires a ticket (around $20–30), and photography tours are available.

8. Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

Spoiler alert: this is one of my favorite places in Vegas!

It’s a free, indoor oasis with dramatic backdrops for any kind of shoot. Plus, it changes! So, you can visit it on multiple occasions and get different photos. 

Visit early in the morning or later in the evening for fewer crowds and the best light.

11. Resorts World LED Globe

One of the largest digital art installations on the Strip. Head there at night to capture this glowing orb in motion – completely free from the outside.

12. AREA15

Immersive art and light experiences galore. Entry is free, but many exhibits like Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart require a paid ticket.

13. The Chandelier Bar at The Cosmopolitan

Multi-story layers of crystal strands give this bar a futuristic sparkle. Free to enter but best visited during off-peak hours to avoid crowds.

14. Wynn Atrium

The Wynn’s atrium is an oasis of lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and stunning water features.

It’s free to visit, but timing is key – try to go early in the day to avoid crowds and get the best light filtering through the glass ceiling.

Unique & Artsy Urban Aesthetic

15. Helicopter Tour Over the Strip

If you want the ultimate “I’m-on-top-of-the-world” Vegas shot, nothing beats a helicopter tour over the Strip. These tours give you an epic bird’s-eye view of the glittering lights, iconic landmarks, and the dramatic desert skyline beyond.

Prices vary depending on the company and length of flight, but expect to spend $100–$150+ per person—totally worth it for once-in-a-lifetime content.

15. Downtown Las Vegas / Fremont Street East

Retro neon, gritty charm, and bold murals make this area a dream for street photography. Totally free and full of personality.

16. Container Park

An outdoor shopping center built from shipping containers – complete with a giant praying mantis. Great for quirky urban shots.

17. The Laundry Room Speakeasy Entrance

Tucked inside Commonwealth, this moody speakeasy entrance gives off old Hollywood vibes. It’s subtle, so keep your eyes peeled!

Hidden Gem Photo Spots

19. Twilight Zone Mini Golf at Bally’s

Glow-in-the-dark kitsch meets sci-fi nostalgia. Entry fee required, but the photo ops are out of this world.

20. The Ice Cream Museum at AREA15

A rainbow of interactive photo sets—think sprinkles, slides, and saturated color. Tickets required, and tripods usually aren’t allowed.

Note: this was just announced! Make sure that it is open before you plan a trip.

21. The Mob Museum’s Speakeasy Entrance

Find the secret door inside the museum to this moody Prohibition-style bar. Admission to the speakeasy is free, but drinks cost (obviously).

23. Peppermill Fireside Lounge

A time-warp of velvet, mirrors, and neon pink everything. Get a drink and shoot cozy retro vibes – free to enter with a purchase.

24. Tivoli Village

Off the Strip and styled like a European plaza. Great for lifestyle shoots or quieter content creation days.

25. Flamingo Wildlife Habitat

A lush escape at the Flamingo Hotel with real flamingos, koi ponds, and waterfalls. Free and surprisingly tranquil.

Most Aesthetic Pools for Las Vegas for Photos

26. The Venetian’s Venezia Pool Garden

Hidden away from the main pools, this elegant garden oasis is calm, romantic, and European-inspired.

27. The Cosmopolitan’s Boulevard Pool

Overlooks the Strip and often hosts events. Arrive early or get a daybed to shoot without distractions.

28. Caesars Palace Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis

Seven pools with Roman architecture, fountains, and classic elegance. Access is for hotel guests or day pass holders.

29. Circa Stadium Swim

Massive rooftop pool complex with a jumbotron screen and party vibes. You’ll need a day pass if you’re not staying at Circa.

30. The NoMad Pool at Park MGM

Moroccan tiles, lush plants, and a peaceful atmosphere. For guests only unless you reserve a daybed.

32. Encore Beach Club

Luxe party energy, palm trees, and vibrant dayclub action. Cover charge or guest list access is typically needed.

33. The Tank at Golden Nugget

This epic bucket list pool is right next to a giant shark tank – and is open to guests or through paid admission.

Most Photogenic Waterworks & Fountains in Vegas

34. Bellagio Fountains

Obviously iconic. The show runs every 15–30 minutes depending on the time of day, and the best free view is right out front on Las Vegas Blvd.

Night shots here are stunning, especially with long exposures.

35. The Fountain of the Gods

This epic fountain is inside of the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

This indoor masterpiece is surrounded by Roman columns, sculptures, and a painted sky ceiling. It’s free to visit and perfect for a whimsical, over-the-top aesthetic.

36. The Venetian Fountain Courtyard

Right outside The Venetian, this spot looks like you stepped straight into Italy. It’s free, gorgeous at sunset, and often less crowded than Bellagio.

37. Wynn Waterfalls

This baby is a bit of a hidden gem and is often missed. However, it is incredible if you can find it! If you cross after the Venetian, it is right near the entrance to the shops.
